Colour Theme
Curating a cohesive colour theme for your table setting is essential for achieving a harmonious look. Take inspiration from current trends or seasonal palettes, such as soft sage greens paired with warm neutrals like whites and beiges for a calming effect.
Alternatively, consider using burnt oranges and browns for an autumnal vibe. Aim for two to three complementary colours that enhance rather than clash, creating an inviting atmosphere for your guests.
Linen
To layer up your linens on a table, start with a basic tablecloth or placemat as the base layer or perhaps use only a table runner that hangs on each side of the table.
Then, add a charger plate, followed by a dinner plate, and then a coupe or salad plate on top.
Next, add a glass or water glass, and then a wine glass or other beverage glass. Finally, add napkins, and don't forget to set out any other table settings like silverware, a centrepiece, and decorative accents.

Create a Centrepiece
Start with a varied-height arrangement of fresh flowers, such as roses, lilies, and greenery in a decorative vase. Incorporate natural elements like candles or small lanterns to add warmth and ambience. Consider including seasonal fruits or decorative stones at the base for added depth. Ensure the colours and textures harmonise with the overall decor, and keep the arrangement at eye level for easy conversation across the table.
